Mike is the team leader on this project and they have been charging along. The new swim platform has been constructed, the cockpit deckhead has been extended, the exterior undercoat painting has commenced and installation of the new electronics suite is about to get underway. Then, it is just a matter of finishing the exterior painting, re-installing all the deck hardware, antifoul and Propspeed and then she can go back in the water – all by January…. Easy.

We have also had Alodium in the factory for a tidy-up. Alodium was one of the very first Elites we built. Launched in 1997, it was great to have her back. She has had new saloon windows installed, new teak on the swim platform and her exterior paintwork touched up. Considering B13 is now 26 years old, she is in remarkable condition – a testament to the team who built her and the care of her owners.
Annual Boat Maintenance:
Royce and his refit team are in the thick of the annual boat maintenance schedule. This is our normal pre-Christmas programme of systems checks and servicing. With a dozen boats to check over before the summer boating season, to say it is all go is a bit of an understatement.
Emergency Work:
On top of all of the above, we have been asked to help with two urgent repair jobs for existing clients. Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders will always do everything we can to deal with urgent and emergency situations to support our close-knit team of boat owners, designers and project managers.
If you are in need of Royce’s expert attention with some re-fit work, systems inspections or maintenance, please do not hesitate to contact him at royce@lsb.co.nz or telephone +64 9 274 7680
